Who we are
Kate is a dedicated behavior analyst specializing in child development, education and behavior modification. With a career spanning over 15 years, Kate has focused on empowering individuals and families through tailored interventions and support.
Kate began her career working with adults in home settings, where she facilitated independence by imparting crucial life skills and providing personalized support. In 2015, she transitioned her expertise to working with children at Kennedy Krieger's Neurobehavioral Unit, specializing in the reduction of severe problem behaviors. After obtaining her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis, Kate expanded her practice to encompass comprehensive support for children and families. Her areas of expertise include skill acquisition, communication development, behavior reduction strategies, school readiness programs, and empowering parents through effective training. Kate is passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of her clients by fostering positive behavioral changes and promoting developmental milestones. Her approach combines evidence-based strategies with compassionate care to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Kate holds a Master's degree in Special Education and a post-master's certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Johns Hopkins University, which help uniquely position her to deliver effective interventions, navigate the complexities of the special education landscape, and provide crucial support to families.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband, two small children and dog. She is known to bake a delicious chocolate chip cookie, enjoy a nice cup of coffee and spend as much time outside as she can.
